# Installation

## System Requirements

* Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit)
* MetaTrader 5 installed (from your broker)
* Telegram or Discord account
* Internet connection

## Download

1. Go to [mt5-link-server-production.up.railway.app](https://mt5-link-server-production.up.railway.app)
2. Click **"Download for Windows"**
3. Run `mt5-link-client.exe`

## First Launch

On first launch, an **activation dialog** asks for your license key. Once entered, the main app opens.

1. **Set MT5 path** — click Browse, select your `terminal64.exe`
2. **Choose signal source** — Telegram or Discord (use the mode toggle)
3. **Enter credentials** — bot token, API keys, channel ID
4. Click **Save & Start**

MT5 Link connects to MT5 and your signal source, then starts monitoring.

## Updating

MT5 Link checks for updates on startup. When a new version is available:

1. A banner appears at the top of the app
2. Click **"Update Now"**
3. The app downloads, installs, and restarts automatically

> **Note:** Always close MetaTrader 5 before updating MT5 Link.
